regen·era is a story-universe created by the Design Science Studio, an educational incubator for art that empowers creators to imagine a regenerative future that works for all life.
Our mission is to give birth to the Regenaissance, a cultural emergent movement that seeks to transform the way in which we think and live in society, redefining our relationship with each other and the planet.
On March 21st we will launch regen·era, a world and story about a floating city that appeared on Earth in 2021 to show us what was possible. The arrival of the city will come along with an entire week of celebrations, talks, workshops and art that showcases the importance of what’s occurring. This festival is called regen·era rising and you can buy tickets here.

what is regen·era?
regen·era is a virtual floating city designed to be the home and heART of the Regenaissance, a cultural and social movement that seeks to comprehensively transform the way in which we think and live in society, redefining our relationship with each other and the planet.
regen·era appears on Earth in 2021 to show us what is possible within this decade. In our journey to restore ecosystems and bring about the principles of the Design Science Decade, we have woven the city with the principles of our collective mission.
The arrival of the city is celebrated with a week-long virtual summit called regen·era rising: a confluence of immersive experiences, celebrations, talks, workshops, art and surprises - each showcasing the important, powerful and collaborative ways design, science, and story collide within the shared environments of Zoom, New Art City and Topia.
Join the (r)Evolution in a cultural exploration at the intersection of art and science, harnessing the potential to shift and propel the next hundred years of our evolutionary process.

Nested within the Design Science Studio is the Living Systems Art and Design Collaboratory, designed in partnership with the University of California, Irvine’ Emergent Media and Design Lab with the patronage of Mansoor Vakili. The immersive exhibition in New Art City was designed in partnership with Gray Area. Our live program schedule will be generously hosted through Presence.
